Tough win over Slavia at home 25-08-2013 17:17

Botev Plovdiv defeated Slavia Sofia 3-2 in a tough game at the home "Hristo Botev" stadium. The victory came very tough, since Slavia took a lead in the first half, and after a turnover, they again managed to equalize after the break.

The first goal was scored by former Botev player Atanas Kurdov in the 18th minute. Just three minutes later, Romario scored for 1-1 and calmed the Yellow-Black supporters. In the 34th minute The Canaries took the lead after a goal by Todor Nedelev. In the 63th minute Slavia returned in the game with a goal from Da Silva. Tomas Jirsak(pictured above) brought the win to Botev's hands with a late goal from close distance, finishing a great attack, started by Nedelev and Ognyanov. Botev are now in the top 3 of the Bulgarian championship with 13 points from six games.
