Botev played better in the beginning of the game, with a lot of attacks, but without really any good goal chance. In the 9th minute Ivan Cvetkov was pulled in the penalty area by a CSKA player and the referee gave The Yellow-Blacks a chance to score from a penalty shot. Cvetkov was precise with his shot, and gave Botev the lead. Until the end of the first half great opportunities were missed by Anicet, but also Botev had good luck after dangerous shot from Marcelinho, which hit the post.

The second half began terrible for The Canaries - after a cross from the left flank, Chochev was left alone, and scored a header for 1-1. Just few minute later he could repeat his exercise, but Stahovyak saved his shot.

In the 64th and 65th minute Marian Ognyanov and Todor Nedelev joined the game. Both of them suffered injuries, and missed months of games - only Ognyanov managed to play few minutes four days ago against Slavia in Sofia. The two offensive players changed the game, and gave Botev a great impulse. In the 70th minute Ognyanov scored for the end result - 2-1, after shooting a rebounded from the goalkeeper ball.
