Botev with two goals advantage from the first leg in the semis 16-04-2014 18:12

Botev Plovdiv defeated 3-1 Lokomotiv Sofia at home ground and has 2 goals advantage before the second leg of the semi-finals of the Bulgarian Cup. The Canaries outplayed their opponent and could've decided everything in the first game, but received a goal in the closing minutes of the game.

The Yellow-Blacks started the game more aggressively and naturally made the first chances to score. Anicet was close to giving Botev the lead with a header in the middle of the first half. Vander Vieira also had his chances, but his shots from distance went outside the goal. 

In the 38th minute Feribori Dore managed to score after all. He received a good pass from Yunes Hamza, went past Loko Sofia's defenders and netted the first goal.

During the second half Botev continued to search for better advantage for the second leg. The second goal came 72th minute after a very beautiful attack with few classy passes, finished by Luis Pedro, finding the back of the net for the second time.

In the 85th minute the result became even better, after Alexander Branekov from Lokomotiv Sofia scored an own goal, after a cross from Hamza. Three minutes later, when The Canaries were seeing themselves in the final, the visitors came back in the semifinal with a goal from Ivanov.

The return leg is next week in Sofia. In the other game, Ludogorets Razgrad defeated Lokomotiv Plovdiv 2-0 at home. The final is in May at stadium Lazur in Burgas.
