Closer to Europe with 3 points against Litex

Botev Plovdiv are climbing closer to the places in the Championship which give a chance to play in European Tournaments after defeating 2-1 Litex Lovech. With this this 3 points, The Canaries are 4 behind CSKA and Litex - which are second and third in the standings. Both teams have played one game less than Botev.

The Canaries defeated Litex at the home stadium in Komatevo quarter in Plovdiv. Both goals were scored by the winter signing Yunes Hamza. He gave Botev the lead in the 7th minute, scoring a penalty, given for a foul against Vander Vieira. In the beginning of the second half Hamza finished a great attack, started by Hristov, who defeated the whole Litex defense with a single move and the Tunisian forward doubled the lead at the empty goal. Just few minutes later a mistake by The Canaries in the middle was turned to goal for Litex with a great sprint from Despodov. This was the only thing that the Lovech team managed to do, and the game ended 2-1 for Botev.
