Fast start in Europa League - 4:0 over Libertas 03-07-2014 21:36

Botev Plovdiv defeated Sanmarinese team AC Libertas 4-0 in the first leg of the First qualifying round of UEFA Europa League. The games was played on Bourgas' stadium Lazur, where Botev play their Europe games for a second year in a row, due to the construction of the stadium in Plovdiv.

Two goals for the win were scored by Marian Ognyanov - in the 25th minute he netted the first goal in the game after a great header pass from Romario. The second goal was in the beginning of the second half with a header. The third goal came after a powerful shot from close distance from Ivan Cvetkov in the 56th minute, and few minutes later Luis Pedro received a great pass from the youngster Bozhidar Vasev and scored for 4-0.

In this game Botev played with few young players - starter was the 20-year old central defender Radoslav Terziev, and after the break in play as substitutes came 21-year old Bozhidar Vasev and the 18-years old Serkan Yusein.

The return leg in San Marino is in a week on July 10th.
