Botev returns on the road of wins, defeating the leaders Litex 02-11-2013 16:40

Botev Plovdiv defeated Litex Lovech 2-1 on their first home game in almost a month, but in front of empty stands. The goals for the win scored Vander Vieira and Georgi Sarmov in the first half. This was the first win for Botev after three unsuccessful games in a row, in which The Canaries collected only 1 points.

The Yellow-Blacks played better in the full 90 minutes of the game and deserved the 3 points. In the 13th minute of the game Vander Vieira gave Botev the lead with a shot from close distance, after a good pass from Arthur Enrique. In the 27th minute Georgi Surmov doubled the lead with a great 25 meters shot, not leaving any chance for the Litex's goalie.

Botev stayed better in the second half too, but couldn't manage to score more goals. In the 68 minute the job became more difficult, after a second yellow card for Boban Grncharov. Only 4 minutes later Ilia Milanov from the visitors fouled Romario, who was alone against Litex's goalkeeper Alexandrov, and the referee sent off the defender. In the 82nd minute of the game Simeon Slavchev scored a header after a corner kick, but this was all that Litex could do.

The next game for Botev is this Thursday in Varna against Cherno More for the Bulgarian Cup.
